NME readers have nominated One Direction for ‘Worst Band’ and Harry Styles for ‘Villain Of The Year’for the NME Awards 2013.
The boys have been nominated for ‘Worst Band’ alongside Muse, Mumford & Sons, Alt-J, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran, although technically Justin and Ed are NOT bands.
Harry Styles has also been nominated for ‘Villain Of The Year’, alongside David Cameron, Skillrex, Psy, Fred Macpherson and Azealia Banks. Eek.
The Rolling Stones are up for four awards, while The Maccabees are up for three.
NME editor Mike Williams said: “The NME Awards is the highlight of the music calendar and the most rock’n’roll party of the year, so it’s incredibly exciting to see such a wide range of artists nominated this time around.
