One Direction will make a cool £70 million between them just  from the Where We Are 2014  tour. Tickets went on sale yesterday and extra dates were added within half an hour after tickets sold out within minutes.

Chris Edmonds, chairman of Ticketmaster UK, told The Mirror that at one point 200,000 fans had been left waiting in a “virtual queue”.

He added: “If it had been a real one, it would have stretched from Wembley Stadium round the M25.”

An source close to the boys said One Direction were expected to make £14million each from ticket sales and ­merchandise from the Where We Are Tour.

He added: “And this doesn’t take into account album and DVD sales.

“It is going to be yet another very profitable year for One Direction.”
