The biggest boyband in the world, One Direction have topped Heat magazine’s Rich List for under-30s with combined earnings estimated at £59.33 million – stealing the title from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe who has amassed a fortune of £56.19 million.Radcliffe had topped the list since it was established in 2010, but the 1D boys have taken the crown with their fortune included as a single entry because earnings are generated by the group rather than individually.
Lucie Cave, editor-in-chief of Heat, said: “One Direction are young, talented, staggeringly good looking and adored by millions. To that we can now add ‘rolling in cash’. No one said life was fair.”
The highest new entry in the list is DJ and music producer Calvin Harris, who earned an estimated £22.1m in 2013.
