Brooklyn Bowl, the acclaimed NYC nightlife destination hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the most incredible places on earth,” hosted a launch party last night in the O2 Arena.
The 800-capacity concert venue, features 12 lanes of bowling -three of which are elevated in a private party area with its own bar – celebrated its grand opening night with a show-stopping party taking over the entire venue to coincide with the Brooklyn Nets playing the Atlanta Hawks.
VIP attendees included Cara Delevigne, Kelly Brook, Clara Paget, Ellie Goulding, Adwoa Aboah, Dougie Poynter, Dominic Jones, Siva Kaneswaran, who took over the 12 bowling lanes and showed off their competitive streaks. Guests enjoyed the renowned signature menu by NY restaurant group Blue Ribbon and gorged on an all-American feast of fried Chicken, Oyster Po’ Bo sandwiches, BBQ ribs and calamari whilst sipping on margherita cocktails and locally brewed beer from Meantime.
Brooklyn Bowl All Star Players were the first band to hit the stage. The collective of Brooklyn’s finest funk and soul musicians from Lettuce, Soulive and Antibalas brought the dance floor to life and later renowned DJs Tony Sylvester and John Doran took over on the decks playing into the night.
Launched in New York in 2009 as a food and live music venue featuring 16 bowling lanes, Brooklyn Bowl NY has hosted a diverse range of acts including Kanye West, Elvis Costello, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, HAIM, Snoop Dogg, Guns’N’Roses, James Murphy, Adele, Paul Simon, Big Boi, Moby, N.E.R.D, Talib Kweli, and Solange.
The new entertainment venue opens to the public on Friday Jan 17th.
