Taylor Swift has praised Ed Sheeran saying he’s one of her ‘favorite people on the planet’ and confessed that she wants him to win a GRAMMY.
Speaking to Billboard, the American country/pop star said: “I want him to win everything he’s ever up for,” BFF and tour mate Taylor Swift told Billboard. “He’s one of my favorite people on the planet. And he’s so talented and he’s worked so hard for it.”
She added, “I think he would have amazing acceptance speeches. We toured together all year and I watched him every single night. He was just such a show-stopper. It was so amazing to watch him work and to watch him put together his new record, which is going to be great. Whether or not he wins Best New Artist, I think people are going to be so blown away by what comes next from him.”
Ed is up for the coveted Best New Artist prize. He will go head-to-head with Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and James Blake.
Taylor Swift will be performing at this year’s GRAMMY and is also up for 4 awards, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album for ‘Red’, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Song for ‘Begin Again’.
The 2014 GRAMMY Awards takes place this coming Sunday, January 26.
