BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw revealed this morning that its Big Weekend for 2014 will take place in Glasgow.
Acts announced so far are, Paolo Nutini and Rita Ora with more to be revealed in the next few months.
Speaking of the news on his breakfast show, Nick Grimshaw said: “So excited to announce that we are going to be partying in Glasgow this summer. There is a rule that the further north you go, the more fun the gig will be so I’m psyched to be in Scotland this year.”
This years event will be held at Glasgow Green between May 24-25, with over 60,000 tickets will be available across the two days.
Big Weekend will be broadcast live on Radio 1, 1Xtra and streamed on the Radio 1 website. Highlights will also be broadcast live on BBC Three.
