Pop heartthrobs Union J are back and set to release their brand new single ‘Tonight (We Live Forever)’ on August 17th. The track will be the first song to come from their second album scheduled for release later this year.
The uptempo number is an ode to the special relationships in people’s life which make everything enjoyable and fun. The band said: “This track sums up what Union J are about in terms of our sound and it also reflects who we are together – a group of friends having the time of our lives.
“It’s a happy song that lifts our mood whenever we hear it. We’ve had an absolute blast recording new material – working with some of the world’s best songwriters and producers has been a dream come true and we can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve done.”
The band have been writing and recording new material both in the UK and the States working with songwriters such as Jamie Scott (One Direction, The Vamps and 5SOS, Jessie), Jessie Shatkin (Kylie Minogue, Sia) and Red Triangle (Little Mix, One Direction) along with music heavyweights such as Ryan Tedder and Diane Warren.
In the two years since Union J went from talented hopefuls to overnight sensations on the 2012 series of The X Factor, there has been no stopping their success. Their debut hit single ‘Carry You’, the follow up smash ‘Beautiful Life’ and their self-titled debut album, all hit the Top 10 in 2013 before they set off on a major sold out 18 date tour across the UK and Ireland. They also released two books and launched their own merchandise range including dolls, fragrances, stationery, and jewellery.
Racking up 1.5 million followers on Twitter and the same number of likes on Facebook, Josh, JJ, Jaymi and George are poised for a massive second half of the year with live dates booked throughout summer and their eagerly anticipated second album set for release through Epic Records. 2014 is set to kick into gear for Union J.
