Having won over the hearts of the nation as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, Alesha Dixon returns to her first love, music, and unveils her brand new single ‘The Way We Are’ out June 21st.
With over 15 years in the industry, several BRIT Award and MOBO nominations, three platinum- selling albums and nine Top Ten UK singles, Alesha is back and taking control. ‘The Way We Are’ will be released independently, on her own label, and sees her returning to her musical roots. Set free from the constraints of making an album that she was expected to make, the new music encompasses the spirit of her Mis-Teeq days with a completely modern makeover.
Alesha says: “I’m so excited to announce my new single! I’m bringing it back to my first love, the music! Doing it independently this time feels great, I love being the boss and taking the reins creatively. The message in this track is special to me because it’s about being comfortable in your own skin, having confidence in yourself, ‘The Way We Are’, which at the end of the day is what matters.”
Written to celebrate everybody’s individuality ‘The Way We Are’ is Alesha’s first single since 2010 and is destined to be a summer chart topper with its infectious beat, catchy hooks and positive message.
