Shawn Mendes is the name on everyone’s lips right now. His global hit single, Stitches, is topping the iTunes Singles Chart, and just hit the #1 spot on the Official Charts. Shawn Mendes has announced a 38-date world tour across Europe and North America (with more dates coming soon). Kicking off at his already sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall, the tour then heads to Europe in April & May, and North America in July & August, before culminating in a huge, homecoming arena show in Toronto on the 21st August. Last year, Mendes supported Taylor Swift on her colossal 1989 World Tour and sold out various headline shows, including London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, in a matter of minutes. This year sees Mendes transition from teen viral online sensation to full-fledged industry best-seller and with Stitches continuing to grow on all platforms, and Mendes currently storming the charts around the world, this will no doubt be one of the most highly anticipated tours of the year.
Mendes was discovered by manager Andrew Gertler, who Forbes also picked in their 30 Under 30, after posting a series of videos on digital platform Vine. Mendes went on to sign with Island Records in the US, and has become one of North America’s hottest and most successful new artists.
