Josh Cuthbert from Union J has told BBC Radio 5 live’s Breakfast programme they’ve already got “a few boys in mind” to replace George Shelley, who left the band yesterday.

Speaking to Eleanor Oldroyd this morning, as he finished 12 hours on the Sport Relief Battle of the 5 A Sides pitch, Cuthbert said they hadn’t ruled out public auditions for a replacement.

BBC Radio 5 Live – 5 Live In Short, Union J: We have a ‘few boys in mind’ to replace George

George Shelley left Union J yesterday.

The BBC Radio 5 live ‘Battle of the five-a-sides’ is now in it’s final day and will finish at 6.14pm tonight. The goal of the game is to raise much-needed cash for Sport Relief and as part of its ongoing support to the cause, the Premier League has committed to match donations* from the public during the challenge. To support the players and to donate £5 to Sport Relief the public can text ‘FIVE’ to 70005 or visit sportrelief.com/fiveaside. The money raised will help make a difference to people living incredibly tough lives, both here at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest communities.
