Record breakers and chart toppers Ward Thomas have announced 22 UK Dates for 2017 including their biggest headline show to date at The Shepherds Bush Empire on May 10th.
22 year old twins Catherine and Lizzy made history with their stunning major label debut when it reached the top spot in the U.K. Album charts, by becoming the first ever UK country act to achieve the feat. On top of that extraordinary achievement, the album stayed in the top five for three weeks: a rare accomplishment.
Armed with the “devastating title track” (Sunday Times, Culture) taken from their No.1 album ‘Cartwheels’, Ward Thomas announce these shows after completing an impressive run of 16 completely sold out UK dates in October, including a sensational show at Bush Hall. Ahead of these dates they play a sold out show at the Brooklyn Bowl, for the Christmas Country 2 Country Social December 3rd.

Written in Nashville in 2014, ‘Cartwheels’ was the song that kick started the entire writing process for the album. Reflecting on experiences of young women (and men!) everywhere, it tells the sad tale of someone who refuses to accept that a relationship is over. The heartbreaking story is brought to life by the sisters’ stripped back vocals and beguiling harmonies.
Ward Thomas were barely out of their teens when they became country crossover stars with their independently released 2014 debut album ‘From Where We Stand’ which sold over 25,000 copies in the UK.
