Six years in the making, Stacey Solomon releases her eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Shy’and to celebrate she will be visiting HMV stores to sign copies.
She first captured the public’s hearts in 2009 when she appeared on X Factor. Since then she has spent her time bringing up her young children, becoming one of the most recognised faces on British TV, famously winning I’m A Celebrity in 2010, and recently competing in The Jump.
As well as all that she has, of course, been concentrating on getting the music for the album just right. She said, “Making this album the best it can be has been hard work but so rewarding; I can’t wait for people to hear it. I’m so proud of it”.
The record features contributions by Lily Allen and Rita Ora, but much of the material has been written by Stacey herself. Having been approached to record the ‘typical’ post X Factor album by the major labels, Stacey wanted rather to develop her skills as a writer and a singer further and create something more genuine – on her own terms – to truly reflect her personality and her true musical talent and artistic style.
