Pop Scoop! caught up with rising cutting-edge soul/pop/electronic singer-songwriter Zak Abel right after his set at Sundown Festival (bees and déjà vu were braved during the recording of this interview).
He talked about performing brand new material from his second EP “One Hand On The Future”, how mind-bending he finds it to hear his very personal lyrics sung back at him by crowds, his musical beginnings, touring with Gorgon City, his close collaboration with producer Joker, how he starts writing songs, being named “Hot for 2015” by Radio 1Xtra, and what is on the horizon for him – including live shows and working on his upcoming debut album.
