Victorious (25-27 August ’17) – the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival – has announced its headliners and the first wave of artists in an already impressive line-up. Having previously revealed Madness as the headliner for the all-new Friday night Opening Party, the festival is proud to announce legends Stereophonics and Elbow as top of the bill for Saturday and Sunday.
Celebrating an incredible 25 year career, Welsh rockers Stereophonics are guaranteed to deliver an immense set on Saturday night packed with hits from nine studio albums and a dynamic live performance that has earned them a reputation as one of the best in the business.
Support comes from indie-folk troubadour Jake Bugg, power pop trio Feeder, folk rockers Frightened Rabbit, alt-rock upstarts Sundara Karma, feted grime artist and rapper Lady Leshurr and lo-fi London four piece Palace.
Headlining Sunday and providing the perfect finale to the best Victorious Festival yet are Mercury-winning Mancunian maestros Elbow. Enjoying critical acclaim for imminent new album Little Fictions, Elbow’s beautiful ballads and life-affirming indie-rock anthems will make for a sublime crescendo.
Also appearing on Sunday’s bill are art-rockers Franz Ferdinand, nu-punk duo Slaves, multi-award winning singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, Tanzanian rapper Tiggs Da Author and garage punk outfit Crows.
Said festival director Andy Marsh: “We are immensely proud of this year’s line up. We’ve worked really hard to secure the very best acts – band and artists we personally love. We literally have the crown jewels of the British music industry night after night and we still have so much more to announce.
“It’s going to be a legendary weekend – the best Victorious yet – we can’t wait until August, it’s going to be incredible!”
Held in the spectacular seaside location of Southsea overlooking the Solent, Victorious Festival is an amazing family friendly experience with the best live acts, an enormous free kids arena, bustling markets, real ale, real food and an atmosphere not to be missed.
