Today sees iconic British duo Rizzle Kicks – made up of Jordan Stephens and Harley Sulé – announce a massive headline show at Castlefield Bowl on Friday 11th July 2025.
The announcement follows their incredible sold-out KOKO headline show earlier this month, the duo’s first in nearly a decade. Mixing classic anthems like ‘When I Was A Youngster’ with new offerings ‘Javelin’ and ‘New Sport’, the crowd went wild at the high energy show, which Daily Star hailed as “pandemonium”.
Fans can pre-order the new album before 5pm on Wednesday 20 Nov for a chance to access the show pre-sale 24 hours before tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 22 Nov.Those who pre-order will be sent an email directly from the label with a link and password to the pre-sale.

This announcement also follows the announcement of their new studio album ‘Competition is for Losers’, due February 14th via BMG. Their forthcoming project sees them return to the pop music space sober, both in love and equipped with life lessons, self-awareness and self development they’ve built on separately – all the while retaining their sense of humour that always set them apart from other artists.
“We allude to the fact that we acted off the cultural encouragement and the reality of the time”, says Jordan, “I think now we’d like to believe that we’ve distanced ourselves from those just through experience”.
Themes on this album include sobriety: “Not in a prescriptive way. But more like we did a lot of crazy stuff, but now we don’t”, and paternity: “not just with Harley becoming a father and all the growth that comes with that role, but also in a larger sense as we get older we feel a responsibility to share our wins and our failures”.
A sense of values comes through on the album, with less of a black and white perspective that people often hold when they are younger, before we have had our worlds shattered, and had to put them back together. Most importantly, the music is undeniably feel-good, clearly coming from a more sustainable, happy and healthy place.

Rizzle Kicks, returned in style earlier this year with comeback single ‘Javelin’ which saw the pair reunite for their first new music in over nine years. A natural evolution of the duo’s original sound that won over so many initially; a mature, jazzy, R&B/pop amalgam with Jordan’s trademark charismatic lyricism paired with Harley’s smooth vocals. Rizzle Kicks then delivered a continuation of their mature and evolved sound on new track ‘Gumdrops’. Offering a nuanced discussion about masculinity and lad culture, the track’s smooth bassline weaves between Jordan and Harley’s vocals as they capture the bittersweet essence of adolescence.
New single ‘New Sport’ has the irresistible beat and undeniable swagger of two musicians just now reaching their artist peak, Jordan Stephen’s penmanship and Harley Sule’s honeyed vocals and mixing from Tucan (Superorganism, Jungle) combine for a track brimming with funk & soul. The video for New Sport perfectly captures Rizzle Kicks new sound, more musically refined than people may expect. The video is showcasing another creative duo, this time it’s Andy Warhol and Basquiat, the idea that the art represents their new work and new sport. Art & culture is a key part of the new Rizzle Kicks world, mirroring themes from the album of evolution, growth and maturity.
