One Direction have been granted yet another accolade for what has turned out to be a monster 2012 for the boys. This time they have been named the most in-demand live act ahead of The Rolling Stones and Coldplay.

The Stones played two huge sold-out Arena dates at London’s O2 in November for their highly-anticipated 50th anniversary shows with tickets selling for thousands of pounds.

However, demand to see the Stones has been outstripped by the boys from One Direction—Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, who have been named the most in-demand band of 2012 by officials at ticket sales website Viagogo.co.uk.

One Direction topped the list, followed by Coldplay and The Rolling Stones in second and third place respectively.

In the solo artist category, singer Emeli Sande was named most popular ahead of superstars such as Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
