Taylor Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 lead the 2013 Billboard Music Awards with 11 nominations each.
The three artists will all compete for Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist.
Maroon 5 and fun. will also vie for Top Duo/Group, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, and Top Digital Song while Swift and Maroon 5 will also compete for the coveted Top Artist prize. Taylor and fun. are both up for Top Streaming Song (Video).
Rihanna is up for 10 this year including Top Artist. Carly Rae Jepse competes for nine categories this year, including Top Hot 100 Song, Top Pop Song, Top Digital Song and Top Radio Song.
One Direction will compete for eight awards at the ceremony which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 19.
