The Racecourse Newbury will be shaking to the summer sounds of superstar DJs Pete Tong MBE and Annie Mac after racing at its Ladies Day on Saturday 16 August.
Pete Tong is one of the most famous DJs in the world, he currently hosts the iconic 9pm-11pm Friday night national radio show on BBC R1. He is a truly global DJ rocking dance-floors wherever he plays and was recently awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting and music. He will be returning to Ushuaia in Ibiza for another season in June.
Annie Mac is the queen of dance music. She hosts the two-hour slot prior to Tong on Friday nights where over one million listeners tune in to hear her kick-start the weekend. Mac then returns on Sunday nights for her mellower, wind down ‘Musical Hot Water Bottle’ slot.
The duo will be performing at Newbury for the first time and will be playing shortly after the last race.
Julian Thick, Chief Executive of The Racecourse Newbury, said: “Ladies Day is one of our most popular fixtures of the whole year and Pete Tong and Annie Mac will be the perfect way for racegoers to party on after racing.
“They are two world class DJs and we’re thrilled that they will be bringing down the curtain on Ladies Day. We’re always looking at ways of getting new people into racing and this is a great way for us to sell the racing product to a new audience that may never have been before.”
Fashion, glamour and style are always to the fore on Betfred Ladies Day at Newbury and tickets for the racing and music are now on sale at an early booker’s discount* of £25 for Grandstand Entry and £35 for Premier – £5 off the full price.
